When you meet Crystal Thornton, you soon realize she doesn’t meet a stranger. Not too long ago, this proud momma moved her family back where they belong to the beautiful Pacific Northwest!
You may recognize her from her time in television as an award winning news anchor and reporter for KOIN-TV. But these days, she’s lovin’ on you in the afternoons on “104.1 the Fish.” And when she’s not encouraging listeners of the Fish, she’s taking in a fitness class, cheering her son on in sports he’s involved in, catching a play or walking her miniature poodle “Sir Walt Disney” in downtown Portland.
Crystal has a passion for the arts and is an accomplished vocalist and recording artist who has shared her gift of song around the country and internationally through TBN and TCT. She’s married to Ronald Stephen Thornton, Jr. and the apple of her eye is their son Ronald “Rock” Thornton, III. #GetExcited
About Kat Taylor
Kat is originally from Texas, where she worked at KLTY in Dallas. She went on to work for the BBC in London, for 3 years. Kat moved to Portland to be part of The Fish in 2004, and met her husband, Ryan, shortly after. They have two little girls, ages 8 & 6, who as Kat puts it, “completely amaze (and exhaust) them every day”. She loves the Pacific Northwest and considers it home, never tiring of seeing the beautiful mountains on her drive home, or Oregon's perfect summers. Kat loves spending time with her family, drinking coffee, eating out, watching college football and trying to channel her best Joanna Gaines from Fixer Upper on the week-ends! As hectic as life can be, Kat tries to keep up, enjoy the chaos and find peace with a messy house!
