The Daily Pulse (Friday, May 10, 2013): Rather, as servants of God we commend ourselves in every way: in great endurance; in troubles, hardships and distresses 2 Corinthians 6:4 (NIV)
The Daily Pulse (Thursday, May 9, 2013): I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. He will not let your foot slip—he who watches over you will not slumber; indeed, he who watches over Israel will neither slumber nor sleep... Psalm 121
In Prototype, Jonathan Martin creates a vivid understanding of what it means to be beloved by God. To completely trust, as Jesus did, that God loves you. To live life without fear, confident in your identity and purpose. To handle life’s wounds as Jesus did, and to wake every day with a deep awareness of God’s presence.
Martin reveals a startling truth at the heart of the gospel: Jesus is our prototype. And as we discover how the knowledge of being God’s beloved changed everything for Jesus—how it set Him free to live out his purpose and love God, others, and the world—it will begin to do the same for us.
Do you ever feel like you've sacrificed your dreams to raise a family? Rebekah Lyons, author of Freefall to Fly, explains how women can find meaning and purpose in their lives, regardless of their job title.
Colton made it pretty deep into the American Idol competition in 2012. Bumped out probably earlier than he deserved. Still, good job to get as far as he did. This is a very inspiring song that he co-wrote, from his album "A Messenger". A message of praise and thanks to our everloving Lord.
Embryo adoption is truly a unique way for a child to join a family. How do you tell a child about this? One way is through the creation of a life story book. Beginning at a young age to discuss the joyous way your child joined your family is best. Secrets are never the answer.

The Daily Pulse (Tuesday, May 7, 2013): For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9 (NIV)

God calls us to use spiritual gifts for his glory, but not without a period of trial and tribulations from both natural and supernatural entities. This artistic work opens your eyes to a struggle that faces many writers. Pray for God's messengers who share God's word in print online and offline. Thank you!
The Daily Pulse (Sunday, May 5, 2013): And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood. Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore. Hebrews 13:12-13 (NIV)
Karen Lynne is a bluegrass singer/songwriter from Australia. She is awesome. She recently recorded a gospel bluegrass album called "Shine Your Light" (see Matthew 5:16), which I don't believe has been released yet, but she was kind enough to send me a preview copy. I was hooked by the very first song, "Little Mountain Church House", written by Carl Jackson and Jim Rushing. Very touching lyrics. What imagery.
Yeah, I know, I already created a video for this song as recorded by Ricky Skaggs. There are no rules here (well, that's not true, there are lots of rules, but not one that applies to this situation), I can cheat and make another video with the same pictures and different music.
Anyway, thank you Karen, this is a wonderful rendition. And the musicians are fantastic, too.
Praise and thanksgiving to God do more than make us feel good.
