Word Transformation #11: Dark --> Hark

The Daily Pulse (Monday, September 30, 2013): And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” Luke 2:8-14 (NIV)

The Daily Pulse (Friday, September 27, 2013): After Jesus said this, he looked toward heaven and prayed: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify your Son, that your Son may glorify you. For you granted him authority over all people that he might give eternal life to all those you have given him. Now this is eternal life: that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent. I have brought you glory on earth by finishing the work you gave me to do. Word Transformation #7: Strife --> Life

The Daily Pulse (Thursday, September 26, 2013): Therefore Jesus said again, “Very truly I tell you, I am the gate for the sheep. All who have come before me are thieves and robbers, but the sheep have not listened to them. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. They will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:7-10 (NIV)

Word Transformation #6: Grave --> Grace

The Daily Pulse (Wednesday, September 25, 2013): As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins, in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient. All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath. But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. Ephesians 2:1-5 (NIV)

Romans 12:1--2 "Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God. Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind ..."

• God has desired us to be a holy, sanctified, and separate people.

• But not alone!

• The separate is from the world and not from people.

• We struggle with the overwhelming pull of the world to be like the world in our attitudes, actions and appearance.

• We renew our minds by filling them with things of the Lord, not things of the world.

• The more we parade the presence of Christ—listening, waiting, reading, praying—

• The more we want to be like him!

• We begin to desire holiness.

• It's an act of the will and an attitude of the heart that affect our outward actions.

Word Transformation #3: Her --> Hero

The Daily Pulse (Sunday, September 22, 2013): While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of Simon the Leper, a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table. When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. “Why this waste?” they asked. “This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor.” Aware of this, Jesus said to them, “Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me. When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. Truly I tell you, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.” Matthew 26:6-13 (NIV)

Redemption (Video Jam)

This video jam titled "Redemption" comes from a sermon preached by Dr. Vincent G. Artese titled "Christianity is Progress".

This powerful sermon jam speaks of the work of redemption in the Christian. The work of redemption is to restore a Christian from their former state so they may be made holy and escape the bondages of sin! All of this is done by the grace of God so the Christian can be used by God for His purposes. May the Christian Church be awakened again to a Biblical understanding of redemption and what it truly means to be saved by Jesus Christ!
