Chris Tomlin Celebrates Career Milestone - Four New RIAA Plaques

Chris Tomlin, the “most often sung artist in the world” according to Time Magazine, surrounded by industry, family, and friends, celebrated a monumental benchmark. His recent six-week #1 single “Holy Forever” - together with 20 other #1 career hits - marks the historic achievement of holding the #1 position on a radio chart for OVER 3 YEARS, totaling in 157+ weeks.
“I have had the great honor of receiving many awards and accolades, commemorating different achievements throughout my career… but today is different,” shared Tomlin. “As we sit here celebrating this remarkable milestone it is not lost on me that to have this kind of longevity and impact is directly attributed to a long term partnership with the same record label, Capitol Christian Music Group. So while today was intended to celebrate 21 #1 songs … I wanted to take the moment and put the spotlight on this 20+ year partnership with Capitol, the entire team, and each person who has made all this possible.”
Chris recently shared about his most recent #1 with Billboard “I really don’t know what to say right now… I remember over 20 years ago being told that radio wouldn’t play worship music. So, to fast forward to today and not only have another number one radio song but to have the ongoing opportunity to help give people a voice to worship God through radio, through streaming, through live events, and through songs being led in the church… is something I will never take for granted. I could never have imagined the doors and opportunities God would open up and I am so excited, and expectant for what’s to come next. Tomlin was presented with four new RIAA certifications: “Amazing Grace” (My Chains Are Gone) -double Platinum, “I Will Follow” -Platinum, “I Will Rise” -Platinum and Gold for “Thank You Lord (featuring Florida Georgia Line and Thomas Rhett).”
