9:00 AM on Friday, July 2 - 5:00 PM on Sunday, July 11
The annual Helvetia Lavender Festival will again be held the first and second weekend in July. This popular and well-known mid-summer family activity located in the beautiful hills of Helvetia, just off Sunset Highway (Exit 61), is now in its 14th year of operation. The weekend activities feature exotic fields of lavender, approximately 20+ vendors, numerous lavender products, various demonstrations, live music, delicious food, wine tasting, fun activities for kids and much more. Admission is $10 per adult when purchased online at www.HelvetiaLavenderFarm.com with no charge for children under 18 years of age or for parking. Festival hours are 9 a. m. to 5:00 p. starting Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. The Lavender Festival, founded by Don and Nancy Miller, originally had three purposes in mind in opening their farm to the public. These purposes remain to this day. They are to increase the public’s awareness of the many uses of lavender, to invite others to enjoy the sheer beauty of the countryside and their flower gardens and to raise funds for their non-profit organization in Ukraine. The festival now also raises funds to provide hope for widows and orphans and to alleviate poverty in Malawi, Africa.
